If you are like most of us when we first started out, you likely have many fears playing out in your mind right now. Will I go hungry? How soon will my family get to say, “I told you so.” Can I at least make enough to pay my rent? It takes courage to embrace an occupation with no salary, no safety net, and no sure paycheck being handed to you each Friday. Can you really make a nice living in this competitive and over saturated industry or are those six-figure income tales you hear about just one-off myths? Who can you trust to teach you the real estate ropes? And most importantly, where should you start your business? Does the brokerage firm you choose really matter all that much or is all about the commission split?
